Amsterdam HuisHoudBeurs 2012

This year I went to check out the Amsterdam HuisHoudBeurs 2012  in the RAI building. A place where you can find everything ! That would be my best description of it. 

I must confess I thought it was a place to find everything for the "house", as it says, but it was more like.. everything everything: onion slicers, whole bread, home made compots and nougats, cleaning products for the house, artificial nails and hair, cosmetics, pan cleaners... everything!

Of course I was not only interested in the 'house' things. My favorite part of the fair was the food ! I was surprised with so many different colors and tastes and smells. If you go there make sure you have room for some more food because they are gonna make you try every single thing you see.

There´s only one thing more interesting than decorating cupcakes: eating them!

Modeling lessons

There was also a fashion thing going on the catwalk. You could have your make up done and after that go on a fotoshoot and make a book , and you could also take lessons on the catwalk with real professionals. But what caught my attention was this super-ubber-fashion...

I would have dropped dead if I couldn´t make a picture of them!

It was also fun for the kids. Games with prices made them join the line to participate

I could buy a lot of make up with that money, you know?

And in the end, when you´re tired and helpless, you find these branch-chairs to sit on and relax.

Micos Internacionais

Micos? É claro que paguei! Muitos! Perdi as contas.

O primeiro mico foi carregar as malas de Amsterdã pra cá… elas eram tão pesadas e tão grandes que as pessoas ofereceram ajuda nas ruas. E havia um cheiro estranho, uma mistura de peixe e camarão crus nas minhas duas malas… Eu realmente trouxe muita coisa, mas não frutos do mar! Delícia de cheirinho pra quem passava perto da gente…

Outro micão foi entrar na fila preferencial do supermercado para idosos e deficientes. Sim, eu vi a placa. Depois de sair da fila.

Mais um mico foi entrar no mesmo supermercado (carinhosamente apelidado de Albertjinho), fazer a metade da feira e carregar a cestinha mais pesada do mundo pelos corredores (eu já estava mancando) e descobrir depois de passar no caixa que as cestinhas têm rodinhas. Sim, elas funcionam como mini-carrinhos, com uma guia pra puxar e tudo mais, para que antas como eu não tenham que carregar tanto peso. Por que eu peguei uma cestinha? Porque os carrinhos são pagos, ora bolas!

O último mico foi entrar no banheiro dos homens em um Pub, onde assistimos ao jogo da copa Argentina X Nigéria. Não, não tinha placa. Na verdade tinha tanto adesivo nas paredes que foi difícil até de achar a maçaneta. Fiquei trancada no WC esperando os homens pararem de conversar e terminarem de fazer xixi no mictório ao lado. Esperei todos saírem pra poder sair, com cara de fuinha, toda desconfiada. Será que alguém viu?

Olha isso... um chocolate pra quem achar uma mulher aí dentro!
